If you are looking to experience an incredible mixture of cultures, foods, nature (spectacular beaches in one side and breathtaking mountains on the other) than Montenegro is the destination for you! In our 5-day tour, we will offer you some of the best landscapes that you can find in Europe, some say even in the world. It is up to you to decide.
For our first tour day, we start light. The group will be picked up by a high-class tourist van/bus and we will head towards Skadar Lake – the biggest lake in the Balkans. A national park from 1983 it is also a very important bird reservation so you might be lucky enough to spot its rarest but most beautiful bird – the great white pelican. We will have a boat ride tour organized on the lake with servings of some local products such as pastry fritters with cheese and honey. After the boat tour we will head to Plantaze vineyard. Thanks to the extraordinary area, soil composition and favorable position, the largest and the most beautiful vineyard in Europe, the Ćemovsko polje covers the surface of 2310 ha with 11 million grapevines. Here we will have a tour of one of the most beautiful wine cellars and degustation of some of the best sellers of Montenegrin winemaking. After degustation, transfer to hotel.
Today we will do the mountains of Montenegro tour. After breakfast we will head towards Kolasin, stopping along the way to visit the beautiful Moraca monastery. In Kolasin town we have a jeep safari tour organized along which we will drive to some of the beautiful peaks on the Bjelasica mountain, the greenest mountain massif of Montenegro, and very rich in water. Its volcanic origins have created smooth round shapes, and spacious, mildly rolling landscapes. We will have a short hiking tour and lunch organized in one of the best Ethno villages in Montenegro. After the safari trip and lunch return to Kolasin town and head back to Podgorica city.
We start our experience by touring one of the most beautiful bays in Europe – the spectacular Boka-bay. A magnificent combination of history, geography and gastronomy will give you a great day tour on the coast of Montenegro. What is known as the most southern fiord in Europe has for centuries attracted all the most influential empires that have battled for the supremacy over the small but rich Venetian towns. We will start the day with the city tour of what is known as the gem of the Boka-bay – Kotor Old Town. With its high fortifying walls and Venetian palaces, it will take you back to the medieval period. From Kotor town, we will head on to Perast – the small baroque town with its beautiful islands that are two real pearls of the Boka-bay. From Perast a step into the Roman period of time with the visit to the ancient Roman mosaics in the small town of Risan. After this we will have a scenic drive around the Boka-bay, cross through the ferry to the other side and finish the day-tour with a step from completely old time to something completely new. Porto Montenegro Luxury Marina offers a spectacular insight into the developing of Montenegrin tourism industry. Return to hotel.
For our fourth day tour, we will get acquainted with true and old-fashioned Montenegrin history. We will start by visiting the old royal capital of Montenegro – Cetinje. This is the heart and soul of Montenegrin history. This where our ruling dynasty comes from, the center of our religion, the little town museum to which the proud Montenegrin people have given the official royal status even in the 21 st century. You will have the opportunity to visit the king’s palace and experience how this small kingdom found its way through to the big European scene centuries ago. From the royal capital, we will head to Lovcen national park and visit one of its two tallest peaks – Jezerski vrh on top of which lies the mausoleum of one of our most beloved rulers and poets. Also, from this peak there is a spectacular view down to the Boka-bay from 1,657 m above sea level. From the mountain, we will head down to the Njegusi village and taste some of the traditional Montenegrin specialties – smoked prosciutto, cheese and homemade wine. After the degustation we will start the drive down the most scenic road in Montenegro – the old Austro-Hungarian road, made in the 19 th century leading from what once was known as the Montenegrin Kingdom to the Boka-bay. We end the tour-day in Budva – the most popular tourist destination to the day in Montenegro. Its old Venetian town has a similar background as Kotor but with its own beautiful back stories and legends that made it what it is today. Return to hotel.
